Fulham hope to deepen Liverpool gloom with unlikely Anfield result

Liverpool’s loss to Newcastle in the Premier League was followed by a dull 0-0 with Utrecht but history says things should improve with their teatime game on Saturday at home to Fulham.

The London team have never won at Anfield in the Premier League in nine attempts, five of which have ended with Fulham defeats, the other four ending as follows:

.

12 December 2001 Liverpool 0 Fulham 0

17 April 2004 Liverpool 0 Fulham 0

22 November 2008 Liverpool 0 Fulham 0

11 April 2010 Liverpool 0 Fulham 0

.

Indeed. What a thriller we have in store.

Fulham are one of eight current Premier League teams who have never won a Premier League game at Anfield, while a further 11 former Premier League teams also failed to do it. (See table below for full details).

West Ham have the worst record in total: 12 defeats and four draws in 16 games. Bolton’s relative record is worse: 10 defeats and one draw.
