The missed shot on goal yesterday by Qatar’s teenage striker Fahad Khalfan is already being called the worst miss of all time, and it’s certainly a contender. (Watch here). But it’s not a certainty for the title, as this effort (below) by Kei Kamara of the Kansas City Wizards in the MLS earlier this year shows. KK not only missed from on the line but fell on his backside and tapped the ball home with his hand to try to cover his blooper.

Another contender is this from Rocky Baptiste. Then there’s this from Liverpool’s Ronny Rosenthal.
