The Premier League remains global football’s major melting pot, and research by sportingintelligence into the make-up us this season’s teams so far only emphasises the point.

Among the players involved in games so far in the 2010-11 season, there have been full internationals representing 60 different countries from across Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Australasia and Asia.

A full list of the nations with full internationals who have already seen League action this season is below.

A separate piece today looks at the amount of internationals team-by-team.

England unsurprising provides most players: 60 full England internationals have played for English top-flight clubs this season.

Next comes Ireland (18 players) then France (17), Scotland (11) and Wales (10).

We counted only players who have played senior international football in competitive games for their countries, and have also played in at least one Premier League game this season.

This is a snapshot of the Premier League, the global game.

For a list of some of the earliest foreign imports to English league football, see this article.
