Spot the ball park: 12

by

23 April 2010

Can you identify the sporting arena? We take an aerial view of a topical ball park, football stadium, marathon course, golf course, Games venue, race track, iconic arena, athletic theatre (some literally theatres), pitch, park, stretch of water or wherever else sport takes place. And we ask you to identify it with the help of a cryptic clue… For older STBPs, click here

SPOT THE BALL PARK: No12

Clue: T&Tx3 this weekend, as one T hopes to keep ahead of NY.

What’s the city? And the venue? What’s T&T? And why, according to the tables on Friday morning, 23 April, is 12 such an outstanding number? And what on earth is the link to George Michael?

Answers in the comment box, please. The winner receives a seafood supper (self-funded, in a flatfish restaurant of your choice).

The Trop. Tropicana Field, St. Petersberg, FL, US. The worst facility left in MLB, where lazy fly balls carrum off catwalks and become doubles.

T&T x3 means that Tampa Bay and Toronto are playing a three game series. My guess is they had won 12 games by 23 April and were leading the AL East. I have no idea of the George Michael connection.
