Fulham’s Cottage romps point to Trotters sore on bottom

If Fulham have a Premier League “bunny” it is surely Saturday’s opponents Bolton.

In their 10 completed Premier League seasons, Fulham have gained more points from Bolton (37 points) than from anyone else.

They have also gained more points per game (1.85) than against any side they have played in the PL more than four times.

Fulham’s complete record by opponent in the Premier League is in the table below.

At home Fulham have yet to be defeated by the Wanderers in the Premier League era.

Only two of the 10 meetings on the banks of the Thames have even been drawn.

Indeed of the 20 meetings home and away Bolton can only look back on three wins. Those came at the Reebok in three successive seasons:

9 Apr 2005 Bolton 3 Fulham 1.

26 Feb 2006 Bolton 2 Fulham 1.

11 Feb 2007 Bolton 2 Fulham 1.

Since that last defeat Fulham have won four and drawn four meetings with Bolton in the league.

Bolton visit the Cottage at the bottom of the Premier League and no doubt feeling sore.
