Spot the ball park: No8

by

2 April 2010

Can you identify the sporting arena? We take an aerial view of a ball park, football stadium, marathon course, golf course, Games venue, race track, iconic arena, athletic theatre (some literally theatres), pitch, park, stretch of water or wherever else sport takes place. And we ask you to identify it with the help of a cryptic clue… For older STBPs, click here

SPOT THE BALL PARK: No8

Clue: In a steely northern city, the sporting heirs of Janet are making a splash this week.

What’s the city? And the venue? And who are the two main “heirs” and why are they thus described?

Answers in the comment box, please. The winner receives a soothing paddle (in your own bath tub, in your own time).

Yes, Ponds Forge, Yes Adlington (for breaking Janet Evans record) but no no to Jackson.
